Dragan Solak won the 2013 Turkish Championship. The tournament, an 11-round Swiss, was held 1-9 February in Antalya, Turkey and the top seed finished first with 9.5/11. Baris Esen edged out Alexander Ipatov on tie-break after both finished second with 9 points. Solak is originally from Serbia but changed federations in 2011 after he married a Turkish chess player.
